Isaiah proposed at the Trump downtown in Chicago. He told me we were going to a surprise dinner, but I didn’t think anything of it because he had done this a few times prior. When we got in the cab, Isaiah finally told me that we would be going to the restaurant Sixteen at the hotel. I wasn’t really that hungry.. but went with it! We got in the elevator and I pressed the “Sixteen” button for the restaurant. When the doors opened and I went to step out, Isaiah put his arm out and said he had a surprise upstairs that had to do with the Chef and the meal. I thought it was odd, but also thought maybe we were going to have a private dining experience or something. I knew this was totally something Isaiah would have up his sleeve. The next thing I know I was walking into a hotel room and Isaiah was smiling ear to ear — and sweating!!
The room was covered in rose pedals and candles and as I walked down the hallway, I could hear our song playing in the background – it was an amazing night. Immediately after Isaiah proposed, my parents, grandparents, and brother and sister-in-law all showed up at the hotel. Later, our friends arrived at the hotel bar where we celebrated our engagement until we closed the bar down!
The hubs did good, I know!
