Prior to my wedding, I wanted to do what every bride does… lose weight, get into shape, yada.yada.yada. But I wasn’t sure what to do and how to get there! Then I remembered that, “oh yeah, there is a spinning studio on the first level of the building I live in!” It was called Flywheel and I didn’t know it at the time but it quickly became my new best friend… and I quickly became FLY! (fly = the term used to describe someone who frequents the studio, knows all the people who work there, has a favorite bike, and especially a favorite instructor (well, that’s how I would describe someone who is fly!)) I mean, I loved EVERYTHING about this workout. Stadium seating, dark room, torq board, upbeat music, motivating instructors, the free fruit bowl I always dug into on my way out of the studio, and my urge to go back every single day after class was over. I was OBSESSED!
Fast forward 6 months…. I fell off the flywheel bandwagon and sadly, it would be a crime to describe myself as “fly” these days. While lately I’ve been focusing solely on my yogi breath at Core Power, I’m craving a deeper sweat, so today I am going to get “fly” again. #WishMeLuck.
