Oklahoma Love

May 22, 2013 in I Adore What I Love
By now, I am sure each and every one of you have heard what’s happened in Oklahoma. To quickly sum it up, deadly 2-mile wide tornadoes hit -and terribly destroyed the suburban town of Moore this past Monday, May 20th.  To make matters worse, 24 people are now dead, including 9 children from two local schools. As a human being, this information is extremely hard to swallow and absolutely heart-breaking.  In addition, more than 200 people have been hospitalized and hurt and most not only lost their homes, but everything they have ever physically called their own.  This news is devastating to hear about and I can’t even imagine living through such a traumatizing natural disaster.  My heart goes out to all who have experienced such trauma, worry and pain as well as heart-break of loved ones lost.
This post is for you.
Here are two easy ways that YOU can help NOW: Easily donate $10 to the American Red Cross, who has opened shelters to those who lost their homes and is also reconnecting family members to each other, by texting REDCROSS to 90999.

Volunteer or donate to the Salvation Army, who is providing meals and clothing to residents and responders. Text STORM to 80888.
