For the first time in over 70,000 years, Thanksgiving and the first night of Hanukkah fall on the same day (information provided by a rabbi that I know)! This is something that everyone living today will never see again in our lifetime because the next time it happens it’s going to another thousands and thousands of years in the future. Kind of crazy!
For me, this is totally something that I can appreciate but at the same time, my immediate thought was:
When in the world will I have time to buy all the gifts??
You see, for good reason, my family is celebrating these holidays together this year which means that I’ve had to start thinking about the gift giving aspect of this season wayyy earlier than I ever have. In a measly five days, it will be THANKSGIVUKKAH (Thanksgiving + Hanukkah) and whether I like it or not, come Thursday, I will need gifts for all my family members! I mean, I haven’t even heard any Christmas music on the radio yet (my favorite) and I’m expected to pick out holiday gifts already?!?! Yikes!
If you’re in my same boat, don’t fret because I’ve been compiling a list of holiday gifts for 6+ months (seriously, it’s true)! And if you’re not in my same boat, well, I’m jealous because you have a lot more time to get your sh*t together!
Either way, I’ve got you covered! Take a look at some of my favorite gift-giving picks below :)
Let me explain…
The cutest initial key chain from C. Wonder for your favorite best friends. Don’t forget to pick one up for yourself too!
For the sister who has EVERYYYYTHING, this is the most perfect gift! A month’s supply of Ciate nail polish colors in adorable mini containers to stash anywhere.
Tickets to your dad’s favorite basketball team? Can’t go wrong with that!
Bonus if you buy two tickets and head there with him.
My mom is no gardener, but who wouldn’t enjoy the Modern Sprout? It’s hidden hydroponic system automatically waters and feeds your plants for you… clearly it’s not just pretty, it’s also pretty coooool.
Speaking of modern, have you heard of Modern House Wines yet? They’re totally co-worker appropriate, I promise. Just choose from a large array of messages on the bottle and hand it over. It doesn’t hurt that the wine actually is delish (it’s straight from Napa Valley) despite the inexpensive price tag! PS: I just found out that these wines made it onto Oprah’s Favorite Things this year… if it’s good enough for Oprah, it’s good enough for me!
My brother really does have everything so naturally, I never know what to get him. This The Art of Shaving Shaving Stand for a Razor & Brush would probably suffice.
OMG I just love this gift because it’s a gift that keeps on giving!! So thoughtful and so kind, any wife would just die for it… it’s called the Never Ending Necklace by The Giving Keys and not only is it so freaking cute, it’s message is amazing. Each key on each necklace (there are many styles to choose from) has a message that you can pick out, then after having it for some time, the idea is to pass the necklace onto another person who might need the message more. I’ve been seeing lots of celebs wearing them lately too. Paying it forward has never been so chic!
A Vineyard Vines fun, not-too-serious, trendy belt for that great guy in your life? DONE!
Plus, it just went on sale!!
My sister-in-law got this for my brother who loves it and I kind of want to get it for my hubby too. It’s the Fitbit and it’s a fitness tracker, sleep monitor, and a does-it-all health device.
It’s getting cold out there (yesterday’s low was 15 degrees Fahrenheit!) and these faux-fur earmuffs from Madewell are the perfect accessory to keep you warm and toasty all day long.
There you have it! Which gift are you eying??
For more gift guides, click on the “I Adore What I… GIVE” drop-down tab on the navigation bar… and stay tuned because I have more gifts up my sleeves in the coming weeks :)

I love the way your’ve laid out this post, did you do it in photoshop? Your blog looks really clean and elegant :)
I’ve always wanted to visit Chicago! I transited there once enroute to California (I’m from London) and only had time to have a Chicago deep dish pizza in the airport. It’s definitely on my list of places to live!
Are you on bloglovin?

Thanks Hannah!!! Such a sweet comment :)
Chicago is the best but funny that you’re from London because it’s my second fave city!! I studied abroad there while in college and loved every minute.
I actually used Print Shop to create the above spread. Glad you like it! And yes! Would love for you to follow me on Bloglovin… under any post, you’ll see the “FOLLOW ON BLOGLOVIN” text or you can head there via this link: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/7077881/?claim=bqbf9346fqv
