Christmas Music Anytime! (Even If The Holiday Is Over)

Christmas Music Anytime (Even If The Holiday Is Over!) - via

I planned to blog a “Merry Christmas” post yesterday but you see, yesterday was the first day I felt better from being terribly sick since Friday, the 20th.  My husband woke up sick on that Wednesday before, like reeeeallly sick, and although we went to his company’s holiday party dinner, we probably shouldn’t of.  I took care of him as best I could but that night, as well as the next night, I slept on the couch because I didn’t want to take any chances of getting what he had… which was the flu, as diagnosed by his doctor.  I woke up Friday, on my last day of school before Winter Break and felt 100% perfect!  I went through the day, came home feeling on top of the world because 1. I knew I wouldn’t have to work for 2 weeks, 2. I was given some pretty great gifts from my first graders (check it out on my instagram) and 3. I truly thought I had dodged Isaiah’s sickness.   Ohhh, but then 6:00PM rolled around.  It happened. Cough cough.  Head pressure.  Throat tickle.  By 8:30 I was an absolute mess!!! In those measly 2.5 hours, the flu hit me just as hard and fast as it hit my husband.  I’ve never experienced anything like it.

For the next 6 days, I was beyond sick.  Had to cancel plans.  Couldn’t even look at my phone or open my computer.  I’ll spare you the details because I like you but all I’ll say is that it wasn’t good. At all.  Now, I’m not telling you this because I want a pitty party – I’m telling you this to point out that yesterday was a very merry (Jewish) Christmas for me – just for the mere fact that it was the first day I woke up feeling like a real person! I was ready to leave the house and conquer the world! And that’s exactly what I did.  Got up, showered, went to brunch, then to a movie, and finally to our favorite Christmas dinner Chinese restaurant in Evanston.  It was a great day!  But blahhhh, no time to post anything on I Adore What I Love. And for that, I am sorry.

Regardless, I’m here today. For you. Isaiah and I are currently making our annual road trip to Chautauqua, New York to see his whole family, including extended grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.  And guess what I’m making my husband listen to in the car?  My favorite Christmas music, of course.  Just because the holiday is over doesn’t mean I’ve had my fill. (I haven’t).

And with that, here’s my “Christmas Anytime” music playlist. Enjoy!!
