First order of business: BIG congrats to the 4 Sephora Giveaway winners! They are…
MOVING ON: As mentioned in this month’s March Must-Dos, Monday is St. Patty’s Day! However, as anyone who is anyone knows, the real celebration begins on the Saturday before… aka TOMORROW! Especially if you live in a big city like me.
Last year, I posted a fun little spread all about how you should celebrate this fab green-themed holiday by wearing a cool, greenish-themed basic and simple outfit. But then I put a twist on the whole look by showing you how to change it up a bit when going from day to night. And while I am still in absolute, total adoration with the end result that I came up only a year ago (see the full post here), I thought it would be exciting to tackle this idea once again. You feel me???

Day Additions – From Top Left to Bottom: | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
Night Additions – From Top Right to Bottom: | 1 | 2 | 3 | By the way, I own those green flash aviators and wear them everyday! Like, I’m actually kind of obsessed and only just realized how great they are for my fave Irish celebration. (Check me out wearing them in this #tbt Instagram pic!) Oh! And I’m also loving the boyfriend jean… especially dressed up. The ones that I picked above might just be the most perfect pair that I’ve ever seen. Not too baggy, not too hole-y (aka they have the best rips), they’re not too dark and definitely not too light. LOVE.
Back to the spread above… I bet you didn’t think that going from day to night while still looking hot could be so easy, right?!
I guarantee if you look in your closet, you could come up with something just as good… and if you don’t think you can, think again! Here are my 4 rules for creating the best St. Patty’s day outfit to hit the town in:
- Don’t go GREEN CRAZY! Hints of green is where it’s at.
- Be comfortable! Especially during the daytime… heels just won’t work when you’re bar hopping around town.
- Dressing weather appropriate is KEY! Maybe I didn’t need a heavy jacket last year but this year, I most definitely do! (Also, don’t let the weather deter you from having fun… make the best of it because you only get to celebrate St. Patty’s Day once a year!)
- Remember to stay true to your already cool style! Unfortunately, green t-shirts with a 4-leaf clover on them aren’t going to do you any favors… most of the time, at least!
What do you plan on wearing on this lucky holiday?
