Hey hey! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I just got back from a little birthday trip to LA with my hubby! We seriously had the best time! And ate at the most insane and delicious restaurants!! Today, I’m going to share with you 6 of the BEST breakfast & lunch {brunch} spots in Los Angeles that are not only delicious {that was prerequisite #1 for making the list, of course!}, but are also amazing because of their chic atmospheres and established reputations!

But first, I have to say thank you!!! As we were on the plane on our way there, I realized that we had a whole itinerary of things to do each day but we didn’t have too many specific places to eat at on the agenda. That’s where you guys came in!! I had shared this Instagram post asking for your fave restaurants in the LA area and boy did you pull through!! So many of you made such great suggestions and we took them to heart, almost going everywhere that was mentioned to us! I love this community and appreciate your input more than you know!! Our trip wouldn’t have been half as fun if you didn’t share your fun and awesome LA restaurant picks with me!! SO THANK YOU AGAIN!

I should also mention that these restaurants are listed in no particular order! We truly love them ALL and would go back to each of them time and time again. Here we go!

Malibu Farm

Located on the Malibu Pier:
23000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu

There is truly nothing better than local fare, and Malibu Farm is no exception. Set on the Malibu Pier are actually TWO cuter than cute restaurants to enjoy! Isaiah and I went to Malibu Farm Cafe because we got there early and the “Restaurant” wasn’t open yet, but we LOVED it.

The cafe is at the end of the entire pier and the food is fresh, organic, and so so perfectly prepared. Not to mention, ridiculously yummy too! The actual cafe is adorable but you can also eat outside overlooking the ocean, which is what we did. The entire Malibu Farm experience is awesome!

Urth Caffe

Various Locations In The LA Area
We went to 267 S Beverly Dr, Beverly Hills

Urth Caffe is a true LA staple! The first location opened in 1991 and since then, more and more locations keep popping up all over California. It’s even in LAX airport now. The menu is HUGE and is based on sourcing local, sustainable, and whenever possible organic ingredients. Every ingredient used is 100% natural and completely free of any artificial ingredients or GMOs.

Aside from those facts, the only thing you need to know is that portion sizes are BIG and every single thing is pure heaven! I was excited because they had gluten free / tapioca free bread, which is made in house! I got the egg sandwich, which was OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Backyard Bowls

Various Locations In The LA Area.
We Went To 8303 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles

Mmmmm Backyard Bowls!!!!!!!!! If you’re into smoothie bowls, this might be the best one you’ll ever eat. But you won’t just eat it, you’ll devour it because it is out of this world delish! There are two sizes to choose from and we got the small versions, though they were GIANT and I thought that they had accidentally given us the big ones! But they didn’t – so my advice is to go small because it’s still huge! There are also actual drinkable smoothies on the menu + grain bowls + porridge bowls. All of which will leave you full for hours!! YUM.

The Cabana Cafe @ The Beverly Hills Hotel

9641 Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills

The Cabana Cafe is MY FAVE!!!!!!!! Located right next to the pool at the Beverly Hills Hotel, it’s the place to see and be seen! Celebrities love it and for good reason!!! The chopped salad is a must-order {it’s beyond finely chopped and I am obsessed with it!!} and it’s also what they are known for. But their truffle fries are next-level amazingness and make you not want to eat fries anywhere else again! No others compare!

With that, there’s one thing to note – it is EXPENSIVE. And kind of a shock to the heart when you see the prices on the menu. We justify going there for a few reasons, though. 1 – we’re on vacay {and when on vacay…} 2 – the portion sizes are ENORMOUS {you can totally split everything!} and 3 – the people watching is the most fun thing ever and makes the high prices worth the scenic and chic AF atmosphere!

Farmshop

Various Locations In The LA Area.
We Went To The One In Brentwood Country Mart: 225 26th Street, Santa Monica

Aside from Farmshop being the ultimate place for celebrity run-ins, the food is out of this world! The quality is just BETTER and their dishes are creative and impressive. I got the Quinoa and Avocado salad and I legit loved it so much that I want to recreate it at home!!! Their avocado hummus with pistachio salsa verde was another winner that we loved so much we ended up getting two of them! They were also very accommodating with my gluten allergy! Wish there was a Farmshop in Chicago!! {One more thing – it’s located in the Brentwood Country Mart which is the cutest little shopping mart ever, donned with adorable stores like Goop and James Perse}

Sugarfish

Various Locations In The LA Area.
We Went To 212 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills

Sushi has always been one of my favorites and I crave it at least once a week! However, after going to Sugarfish, I’m never going to be able to eat it and love it the way I used to. Which I’m not sure is a good or bad thing?! Ha.

Ya see, the Sugarfish sushi not only melts in your mouth {no stringy pieces here!!} but they serve it with WARM RICE!!!! Which, let me tell you, is a complete and total game changer!!!! They say that’s how sushi should be eaten and I believe them! Because of Sugarfish, now all I want to eat is hand rolls which I’ve never had before but found out that I’m a BIG fan of! If you go, definitely get the “Try Me!” because besides for being super reasonable in price, you get a lot of food and everything that they’re known for is included. Also, you can of course make a reservation for dinner but lunch was laid back, relaxed, and also FUN! I’d highly recommend it!!

Which LaLaLand breakfast and lunch spot on the list would you go to FIRST?? Tough question, I know! Be sure to PIN this post so you have it saved for the next time you’re in the LA area!! Feel free to also email it to yourself or to your friends and fam using the pink buttons directly below this post! Xox
