Hi guys!! Happy Saturday! Over on my insta page, I’ve made lots of references to my most favorite green smoothie! And for good reason:

  • It’s SO easy to whip up
  • It has health benefits galore
  • This smoothie is seriously the most delicious!!!!!
  • And it’s really freaking filling

It’s not my recipe!!

I should begin by giving credit to where credit is due because this deliciousness is not my recipe. Ya see, a few months ago, my husband started seeing a licensed dietitian based in our hometown, named Ariella, and I’ve reaped one of the benefits of him seeing her. Which is, her smoothie recipe!

My husband began making it every morning for himself around 10am at the beginning of quarantine and I would casually have a sip here and there. But then my sips turned into wanting my own! And being the great hubby that he is, Isaiah started making them for me {and one for each of the kids too, of course!}

Back to the smoothie, Isaiah and I now switch off making it for each other and I’ve memorized the recipe + can make it in my sleep!! Obsessed! It’s typically the first thing I put in my body everyday and one of the best smoothies I’ve ever had!

I’m going to share the original recipe below from Ariella {don’t worry, I got permission!!} and then tell you the modifications that I make to it, because there are a few.

Original Recipe:

1 banana
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
A few handfuls of spinach
1 tablespoon Ground flaxseed
Cinnamon
1 tablespoon MCT oil
Two scoops collagen peptides
2 small ice cubes

Blend everything in a high-powered blender and serve!!

Modifications that we make to it:

Sub frozen banana for the fresh one and omit the MCT oil. {It did weird things to my husband’s system so we stopped using it}

Basically, if you drink this smoothie often, your life will be changed!!!! I mean, don’t quote me on that as I’m no dietitian or nutritionist, but personally, I know that it’s changed mine and my husband’s lives for the better! Not only is it the most tasty thing everrrrr, but it is so so good for you {as uncovered above}! We are both seriously in love with it!! And know that you will be too!
